Full Variation to a Premises Licence
Once you hold a premises licence you may want to make changes to vary the current licence. The premises licence holder may apply at any time to the licensing authority for a variation of the licence. The type of variation you will need to submit depends on the extent of the alterations and its impact on the four licensing objectives;
-
the prevention of crime and disorder
-
public safety
-
the prevention of public nuisance
-
the protection of children from harm
If the changes could impact the four licensing objectives, you will need to apply for a full variation.
For example, if you want to:
-
increase the number of hours that alcohol may be sold on any day
-
extend the opening hours of the premises
-
make major changes to the premises or change the layout of the bar area
-
make a structural alteration to the licensed area
-
authorise the sale of alcohol between 11pm and 7am or
-
add the sale by retail of alcohol
