Personal Licence Applications
A Personal Licence is granted to an individual and allows that person to authorise the sale of alcohol under the authority of a premises licence. Personal Licence holders can retail alcohol themselves, or authorise other staff members to make sales of alcohol to the public.
A Personal Licence Holder can act as a designated premises supervisor. All licensed premises that retails alcohol under the Licensing Act 2003 must appoint a designated premises supervisor. Therefore, this type of licence is commonly applied for by mangers in restaurants, pubs, bars, nightclubs, hotels and supermarkets.
